The final offensive of the Operation Round Up of the SDF against Isis at Hajin will be carried out from three directions: namely from north, south and east. The population, after the launch of leaflets, is starting to escape from the stronghold of the Islamic State at Deir Ezzor
The final offensive of the SDF against Isis at Hajin will be carried out from three directions. The Operation Round Up (Jazeera Storm), has already initiated maneuvers against the Islamic State through its air component, and is preparing to invade the city of Deir Ezzor from a couple of points. In the north, from the area of Al-Husseiniyah, and in the south, from Fish Khabur at the border with Iraq. And finally, in the east, the Daesh stronghold will be attacked from Sousa. While the International air raids aimed at weakening the defenses continue, humanitarian corridors have been created to allow civilians to leave the area safely. Moreover, camps have already been prepared to provide them care and the necessary support. As a matter of fact, after the recent launch of leaflets, they have begun to escape, and consistent flows on the main routes of the Syrian province have been reported.
The Syrian army (SAA) in Suweida tightens the circle around Daesh at Al Safa. The militiamen in the meantime are trying to create an escape corridor from Deir Ezzor to the Badia desert
Meanwhile, the Syrian army (SAA) is finalizing the siege of Isis militiamen in the area of Al-Safa at Suwieda. The Islamic State jihadists attempted a counterattack against the SAA in the area north of the Al Safa canyon, but failed to penetrate the enemy’s defenses. And besides, Daesh launched a surprise offensive against the soldiers in the Fayda area in the desert of Badia. The terrorists are trying to create a corridor up to Abu Kamal (Al Bukamal) at Deir Ezzor to allow their companions to escape from the SDF offensive at Hajin, across the Euphrates. The Damascus militaries, however, till now have managed to stop any attempt of this kind, also in the quadrant of Mayadeen, by intercepting and neutralizing the repeated attacks. However, probably – as soon as the ground offensive of the Operation Round Up will begin – these will increase. The western escape route is incidentally the last one left for the IS in Syria.
