The SDF at Deir Ezzor advance against Isis in the Middle Euphrates Valley (MERV), pointing at the village of Bab al-Khayr. There are great expectations for the words of Pompeo at Brussels on the last phase of the anti-Daesh campaign in Iraq and Syria
The SDF at Deir Ezzor advance against Isis in the Middle Euphrates Valley (MERV), pointing towards the village of Bab al-Khayr. The forces of the Operation Round Up proceed towards the south along the border between Syria and Iraq, chasing the militiamen of the Islamic State out from the quadrant. In the last hours the Arab-Kurdish forces conquered more urban centers, hoisting their flag after having eliminated the jihadists. However, they are waiting for the green light to go ahead with the final anti-Daesh campaign in the province. Incidentally, the heads of the fighters met general Joseph F. Jarrard of Inherent Resolve. Moreover, in the past days the special correspondent of the Usa, Brett McGurq was in Baghdad and Raqqa to finalize together with the local forces the last details for the future maneuvers. These will be illustrated to the members of the International Coalition by the American Secretary of State, Mike Pompei, on Thursday in Brussels.
Meanwhile, the Syrian army (SAA) starts to attack the Islamic State at Tasil, near Daraa
Isis, however, is under attack also in the other pockets of resistance in Syria. At Tasil, after the agreement between the regime of Bashar Assad and the rebels of Daraa, the militiamen of the Islamic State were bombarded by the army of Damascus (SAA). The latter, also stopped an attempt to infiltrate Daesh jihadists into the military Khalkhalah Airbase, headquarters of the operations in the southern province of the country. The circle around the fundamentalists at Suweida is also tightening and in view of the last blows of the SDF offensive at Deir Ezzor already 11,000 Arab-Kurdish fighters are waiting. They are led by Ahmad al-Khubail Abu Khawla al-Akidi and the final battle will very probably take place between Hajin and Harse.
