The terrorist, al-Baghdadi's right-hand man, was caught "abroad" by INIS maybe in Turkey or Syria. Are Inherent Resolve and the SDF involved?
Mass Isis escapes towards the south of Deir Ezzor are growing. The militiamen of the Islamic State chose to surrender to the SDF of Operation Round Up rather than to continue fighting them
Isis mass escapes are continuing to increase in all the area south of Deir Ezzor. Both local population and jihadists. Not only at Hajin, but also at Sha’fah and Sousa. To the point that 5 moroccan jihadists of the Islamic State handed themselves over to the SDF. And also, the persons responsible for internal security arrested 4 of their comrades, for having helped many others to leave the area. As was only to be expected, the approaching of the ground offensive of Operation Round Up (Jazeera Storm) to the IS stronghold increased panic among the terrorists. These are trying in every way to leave the quadrant, as they are aware that they have no chances to win. The locals hope to disappear hiding in other regions of Syria, protected by their clans. The foreign fighters, instead, aim at reaching the borders with Iraq and Jordan.
The Syrian army (SAA), after the air raids, resumes the ground operations against Daesh at Suweida. The jihadists resist, although not for long. They have no more resources and are exhausted
Meanwhile, the Syrian army (SAA) has resumed advancing against Isis at Suweida. They are doing so after having carried out a series of carpet bombing against the Islamic State’s posts in the volcanic area of Al-Safa. The soldiers are moving in the area of Ard Qaa Banat towards the centre of the Daesh pocket of resistance, which is holding on thanks to the local land morphology. The jihadists, however, are worn out and resourceless. Therefore, as s consequence, they will not be able to hold on for long against the soldiers of Damascus, pressing from different directions. The only weapon still in their hands are the hostages kidnapped on the 25th July. But till now all the attempts to negotiate for a safe conduct towards the Badia desert in exchange of their release, have failed. Therefore, the militiamen have very few options left and even less time.
