Inherent Resolve: Isis, with the conventional forces under strong pressure in Syria, tries to stay relevant through acts which threaten all the countries of the world
“With its conventional forces under strong pressure in Syria, Daesh is desperately trying to stay relevant by carrying out operations which threaten all the countries of the world.” This was announced in a statement pronounced by the general Brian Eifler, at the head of the military operations of Inherent Resolve. “The Coalition and its partners – the high officer pointed out – will continue to deny safe heavens in Syria and Iraq to the Islamic State, in order to destroy Daesh’s capacity of planning, coordinating and carrying out attacks against all the countries of the world.” This was confirmed by the fact that the air fighters of the CJTF between the 16th and 22th July carried out 24 raids against 40 targets in the two countries (21 in the first, all in the province of Deir Ezzor, and 3 in the second).
