Syria, the United States will remain in the country to fight the Islamic State

The United States will remain in the country to fight the Islamic State. The US armed forces will not abandon the SDF from Deir Ezzor to Raqqa, passing through Hasaka in the fight against the former ISIS jihadists. Especially now

The United States will maintain its presence in Syria in an anti-Islamic State key. This was announced by the US embassy in the Middle Eastern country on its Twitter profile. The former ISIS “poses a direct threat both to the Syrian people and U.S. national security interests. The U.S. will maintain our military presence in Syria to ensure the threat from the terrorist group is eliminated.” To date, there are officially about 900 American soldiers, deployed in the Northeast of the nation. Their task is to support the SDF in the fight against the jihadists, who have recently begun to raise their heads from Deir Ezzor to Hasaka, passing through Raqqa. The Islamic State’s pockets in the Badia desert launch attacks on a daily basis mainly on the Damascus army (SAA) and the allied militias, but they also continue to try to extend their influence east of the Euphrates.
