The SDF captured three prominent Islamic State commanders in Raqqa. They did with as many special forces raids, supported by Inherent Resolve. The three leaders headed IS logistics networks. In fact, they were involved in hiding and transporting militiamen to the Syrian region. In addition, they were planning a series of targeted killings in the quadrant. The three, however, were already known by the Kurdish forces, having occupied leadership roles during the domination of the former ISIS in the north-east of the Middle Eastern country. The SDF and the International Coalition recently launched a series of operations to dismantle terrorist cells, following the escalation of murders of Kurdish soldiers, civil servants and tribal leaders in the area.
