Syria, the SDF capture a pro-Turkey spy in Deir Ezzor

The SDF have captured a Turkish agent in Deir Ezzor. The spy was trying to find out the coordinates of the Kurdish forces posts and any transfer of reinforcements to Aleppo, due to the escalation in the area

The SDF, after a period of monitoring, captured a local Turkish intelligence agent in Deir Ezzor. The man, recruited by his brother, was trying to trace the coordinates of the posts and movements of the Kurdish forces in the Syrian province. In addition, he photographed possible sensitive targets. The goal, presumably, was to conduct attacks in the near future or to establish whether there were any troop transfers to Aleppo, where tensions are escalating between the pro-Ankara militias on the one hand and the Damascus army (SAA) and the SDF on the other. Furthermore, confirmation of his activities was given by the spy herself in a video confession, which the Kurdish fighters broadcast online. According to local sources, there are other agents in the quadrant. Turkey, in fact, has recently increased intelligence activity in the area, in conjunction with the military build-up in the north.
