Syria, the pro-Iran militias are still trying to light the fuse in Deir Ezzor

The pro-Iran militias are still trying to light the fuse in Deir Ezzor. Meetings between groups and arrivals of weapons/ammunition. Objective: to once again incite the local clans against the SDF and the Kurds

The pro-Iran militias are once again back in action to try to incite the local tribes against the SDF in Eastern Syria and rekindle the outbreaks of violence in the quadrant, which broke out at the end of August. According to intelligence sources, representatives of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), Hezbollah and several local groups allied with Tehran met in recent days in Deir Ezzor. The goal is always to use regional clans as proxies to “liberate” the surrounding areas from the Kurds. Not surprisingly, there has recently been an increase in arrivals and sales of weapons/ammunition in the region. The two elements suggest that there is an ongoing attempt to rearm the local factions and then launch a new campaign. The obstinacy of pro-Iran groups to put the Kurds in the East in difficulty is linked to the fact that the region has always been very little permeable to the propaganda of the Islamic Republic, but Tehran wants to extend its influence in the Middle Eastern country at any cost.
