The Syrian population takes to the streets against the Turkish offensive in Kurdistan. While the SDF are fighting in Tal Tamr and Zarghan, civilians are calling for the intervention of Inherent Resolve and the UN. Furthermore, they remind Ankara that they will fight to the end

Turkey’s offensive in Syrian Kurdistan continues: attacks by TAF and allied militias are now concentrated in Tal Tamr and Zarghan. The defenses of the SDF, however, seem to be holding up for the moment. Meanwhile, local people took to the streets to protest the aggression, demonstrating on the road to Zarghan near the Russian base north of Tal Tamr. The representatives of the clans, students and civil society have asked for the intervention of Inherent Resolve and the UN, condemning “these attacks, which are devoid of mercy and humanity and have no reason or right to be carried out. It is tyranny, colonization and terrorism in all their aspects – they stressed -. Moreover, this occurs despite the existence of ceasefire agreements “. Finally, the dignitaries reminded that the Kurds will never leave the territory and that they will defend it with all their might.
