The Russian air campaign against the Islamic State in eastern Syria does not stop. In the past few hours there have been at least another 34 strikes, in addition to the more than one hundred in the last few days. In this case the targets were warehouses and shelters of the ex-ISIS militiamen in Athria and Jabal al-Amour, near Palmyra (Homs). In parallel, two helicopters flew over Thria to monitor the smuggling activities of the jihadists. Previously, however, Moscow fighters had targeted al-Rasafa and Ithiriya in. Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa triangle and IS posts in the al-Sukhnah desert, killing over 20 terrorists. Russia has launched what appears to be a lasting and ongoing offensive against them, after the various spot actions that have taken place in the last year had not brought results. Moreover, it seems that for the first time the Islamic State is feeling the pinch.
