The Islamic State militiamen have increased attacks in eastern Syria. This was reported by an SDF commander, underlining that the raid on al-Sina’a (Hasakah) prison galvanized pro-ISIS jihadists, who have increased operations throughout the quadrant. In addition, they have become more bold and aggressive. In particular, the killings of members of the Kurdish forces, local personalities and civilians in the provinces of Hasaka, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor are on the rise. Following the change of pace of the terrorists, in fact, the SDF have increased operations and surveillance throughout the area, also affecting the logistics and support networks for IS that pass through the Euphrates. Objective: to prevent any attempt by the jihadists to raise their heads and stop the wave of killings in the region.
