Syria, stalemate in Idlib between SAA-militias. Meanwhile, Russia takes revenge

There is a stalemate in Idlib between the Syrian army (SAA) and the militias. Damascus, despite almost a month having passed since the start of the offensive, is still unable to take Barah

The Syrian army (SAA) still fails to advance towards Barah in Idlib, despite repeated attempts to break through the militia defenses. The last one took place just a few days ago on the Horsh Benin axis, but the local rebels managed to repel the enemy after a hours of fighting. At the moment the “war” is being fought from a distance along the eastern borders of the province. Regular troops bombed the area of Al-Ruwaiha village with artillery. Subsequently, the militiamen responded in the same way on the axis of Dana. According to local sources, both sides are repositioning and reorganizing. The former to launch new ground offensives and the latter to counter them. In fact, however, the situation is still stalled. This, despite the fact that almost a month has passed since the start of the maxi maneuvers in Damascus.

Russia and Turkey temporarily suspend joint patrols on the M4 due to an attack. Moscow, however, reacts by hitting HTS and in Deir Ezzor by providing support to hunt down Isis

Meanwhile, Turkey and Russia have temporarily suspended joint patrols in Idlib on the M4, following an attack by local jihadists that injured two soldiers. It appears that the authors were members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The Qaedist group has recently allied itself with Ankara, but continues to consider the soldiers of Moscow an enemy, following the periodic strikes of the Federation fighters in the province. Moscow’s response was not long in coming. In the last few hours, in fact, there have been some air raids on an underground HTS IED factory in the quadrant, which was completely destroyed. In addition, the Federation is providing assets to the Syrian army (SAA) in the campaign against Isis in the Badia al-Sham desert in Deir Ezzor. This following the killing by a Daesh bomb of General Vyacheslav Gladkikh and the commander of the Mayadeen SAA, Muhammad Taysar al-Zahir.
