Syria, SDF dismantle pro-ISIS smugglers cell in Deir Ezzor

Syria, SDF dismantle pro-ISIS smugglers cell in Deir Ezzor. Raid with Inherent Resolve in Busayrah. 3 facilitators of the Islamic State arrested, while a fourth is on the run. They managed the transport of men and goods on the Euphrates

An important SDF operation against the smuggler networks supporting the Islamic State in Deir Ezzor has ended near Busayrah. Kurdish forces first instituted a temporary curfew and then together with Inherent Resolve, carried out targeted raids on some buildings. The toll was three men arrested and a quarter actively sought. The group of facilitators ran a network that illegally brought weapons and men to pro-ISIS jihadists in the Syrian province via the Euphrates. The quadrant between Busayrah, Dhiban and Shahil, in fact, is the one most used by traffickers to move goods and terrorists between the two banks of the river and hosts many cells. Not surprisingly, just a few days ago there was another operation in the same city, which had allowed the dismantling of an entire IS group. In that case, however, it was an operational commando, specialized in launching attacks against the SDF and the population.
