The Syrian fighters have started an long distance offensive, bombarding jihadists with artillary. In the meantime, the International Coalition continues to provide support by air. The air fighters of Inherent Resolve have done spot raids against Abu Hasan, south of  Hajin, against Islamic State posts. The Syrian army destroys an Isis convoy in the desert of Hamad. Prelude to an approaching offensive against the pocket of resistance of Daesh in the area?

In the meantime, Isis continues to launch raids against the Syrian army (SAA) in the Abu Kamal (Al Bukamal) quadrant. The soldiers, not only rejected all the Daesh offensives, but also fought back. In the last hours they ambushed an Islamic State convoy, destroying it completely. In the fight 5 armored pick-ups and several terrorists were eliminated. However, it is not clear whether it represents the announcement of an offensive against the last big pocket of resistance of Idil, in the area west of Deir ez-Zor. In the Hamad desert between Abu Kamal and the T2 base, in the sector which goes from this province and the province of Homs. The area had been put aside upto now because of the recent SAA operations against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) between Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.
