Syria, pro-Iran militias start recruiting also east of Aleppo

Pro-Iran militias start recruiting also east of Aleppo. Strategy identical as in Deir Ezzor: to offer financial incentives and better living conditions. The SAA and Russia react with a base in Khan Al-Sha’r

Pro-Iran militias launch a new recruiting campaign: this time east of Aleppo. Objective: to strengthen the weight in the area and aim towards Kurdistan. According to local sources, factions such as Liwa Fatemiyoun, have copied the strategy of their partners in Deir Ezzor: that is to offer financial incentives and better living conditions to entice men and especially boys to join their ranks. The propaganda actions are concentrated in particular in Maskanah, al-Sfirah, Deir Hafer and other villages in the quadrant. Meanwhile, additional reinforcements and equipment have been sent to their new base on Habbouba Hill, between Al-Khafsah and Maskanah. This is located on the western bank of the Euphrates right in front of the territory controlled by the Kurdish SDF. The structure, however, is also close to the military post of the Syrian army (SAA) and Russia, in Khan Al-Sha’r, recently set up to block the Iranian advance in the area.
