New Russian strike rounds against the Islamic State in the East. Air raids in Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and Homs. The attempts made so far, however, have only served to keep the former Isis militiamen away from the big cities

New round of Russian air raids on Islamic State posts in the Badia desert. The Federation fighters in the past few hours have carried out over 40 strikes on targets of former Isis militiamen in Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and Homs. In particular, Jabal al-Bishri, the desert area of Mayadeen and that of al-Sukhnah have been targeted. According to local sources, there have been several victims among the jihadists, but there are no details on this. The goal was to neutralize IS operational capabilities to reduce the pressure the group exerts against the Syrian Army (SAA) in the quadrant. The attempts made so far, however, have proved in vain. The attacks, in fact, resumed as soon as the strikes ended. The only result obtained is to prevent the terrorists from getting too close to the big cities and the coast.
