New attack on HTS in Idlib: the wake is getting longer. The war between the pro-Turkey Qaedist group and rival militias, especially Hurras al-Din, has recently escalated

New attack on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Idlib. A vehicle belonging to the jihadist group was hit by an IED explosion in Jisr al-Shughour, injuring the occupiers. The episode in northern Syria is only the latest in a long series, which has recently seen a surge, parallel to the “anti-terrorism” campaign launched by HTS in the quadrant. This saw the arrest of several members of rival militias, most notably Hurras al-Din. In fact, an internal war for leadership has been going on for some time between the pro-Turkey formation and the other minors that gravitate to the region, which has recently accelerated. The shortage of resources donated by Ankara and the recent arrival of pro-Iranian actors in the area have aggravated the critical issues and exacerbated the situation.
