2018 has begun in the worst way for ISIS in Syria. Especially in Deir ez-Zor. Daesh in both sides of Euphrates River has lost in less than a month more than 400 elements. It during battles against SDF of operazione Cizire Storm (Al Jazeera) and syrian army (SAA). Islamic State recently tryed to regain some ground in Gharanij and Abu Kamal (Al Bukamal), but Inherent Resolves’s air raids killed in just one time between 145 and 150 jihadistis. It obliged Isil to switch in areas less hot, like Aleppo and Idlib, in which enemy presence is diluted, thanks to the presence of another adversary: Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Moreover the terrorist tryied to attack SAA near Abu Kamal in last days, but failed as happended against SDF.

Isis arrived in January after a disastrous 2017 in Iraq and Syria, in which Daesh in both countries had been almost defeated militarily.
