The rain stops the SDF offensive against Isis at Bahrah. But not the Coalition’s air fighters
The SDF at Deir Ezzor continue to move against Isis south east of Bahrah and are getting closer to Hajin. The Cizire Storm (Al Jazeera) troops are chasing out the Daesh militants from the area, but the maneuvers in the field have been slowed down in the last hours by violent storms. Nevertheless, Syrian fighters have seized the opportunity to reorganize the offensive and get more supplies of weapons, ammunitions and equipment. The Islamic State jihadists, instead, didn’t have a chance to take a break, because of the constant air raids of the US-led Coalition on the quadrant. The objective of the raids is to keep the pressure on the terrorists at the highest level and also to prevent them to reorganize their defense during the interruption of the operation caused by the bad weather conditions. Some elements of Isil in the meantime tried to infiltrate near the petrol fields of al-Tanak, but were neutralized before they could reach their objective.
The Syrian army is getting ready to invade east Ghouta. Meanwhile Isis and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham are fighting each other at the al-Yarmouk camp
Meanwhile, the Syrian army (SAA) is focusing on the eastern area of Ghouta. It is doing so through an imminent maxi operation to neutralize Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Isis in the quadrant. However, the latter are also fighting against Daesh near the refugee camp at al-Yarmouk. The Islamic State, after having launched an offensive in the organization 6 days ago, is now trying to reach the Falastin hospital in Damascus and HTS is counteracting by trying to stop the enemy advance. In the meantime, the air fighters and the Syrian artillery are continuing to bomb the area to reduce the defenses of the two groups. During the last hours Mesraba, Sabqa, Aftris, Kafr Batna and Jisreen were hit. It looks like, and is confirmed by the arrival on the site of numerous Syrian senior commanders, the prelude to maneuvers on the ground. These, according to various local sources, will be important and will see the Tiger Forces as protagonists.
