The last operation of the SDF to finally annihilate Isis to Deir Ezzor has started. The area in Baghuz Fawqani with the last jihadists of the Islamic State, between Wadi Ali and Harse, is under heavy attack by Jazeera Storm and the Coalition
The latest operation of the SDF in Deir Ezzor to wipe out the few remaining Isis militiamen has begun. The maneuvers of Jazeera Storm are attacking the last camp of the Islamic State in Baghuz Fawqani, in the area between Wadi Ali and Harse. So far the offensive has been limited due to the high presence of civilians in the area, used as human shields by jihadists (especially wives and children of Daesh militia). Once these were evacuated as a result of food shortages, Syrian fighters resumed hitting fundamentalists. Always with targeted actions to reduce the risks of collateral damages. At the moment violent clashes are taking place, with terrorists who have sent several car-bombs (SVBIED), but they have been neutralized before they could reach the target. At the same time, the Coalition continues to perform surgical bombardments on IS posts and depots.
The Syrian army (SAA) sends reinforcements along the Euphrates and eliminates all militiamen trying to cross it. For Daesh there is no way out, the dream of the Caliphate is over
Meanwhile, the Isis militias continue to try to escape from Baghuz Fawqani and SDF through the Euphrates. The Syrian army (SAA) has just killed a dozen in the area of Abu Kamal. In addition, it sent reinforcements on the west bank of the river to prevent further attempts by the Islamic State. With the final offensive in progress to the east there are high chances of new crossings in these hours. Other jihadists, however, are surrendering to Jazeera Storm, having no more food and resources. They know that the dream of the Caliphate is over and that there is no escape route. On one hand, in fact, there is the SAA and on the other the Arab-Kurdish forces, who have surrounded their territory and are attacking it on two axes. Furthermore, there are no more civilians to use as human shields.
