Syria, Isis against SDF at Deir Ezzor lost Dashisha in less than 24 hours

The SDF at Deir Ezzor, after having chased the Islamic State out of Dashisha in less than 24 hours, are now heading for the border between Syria and Iraq

Isis at Deir Ezzor lost Dashisha. The SDF at Deir Ezzor, after a very fast offensive, conquered the stronghold of the Islamic State and is now at less than 3 kilometers from the border between Syria and Iraq. The Round Up Operation (Jazeera Storm) against the Daesh militia in the city, with the support of the air fighters of Baghdad and of the Global Coalition together with the French artillery of the Wagram Task Force, lasted less than 24 hours. The jihadists were already weakened by the continuing air raids and attacks. And to this, one must add the fact that many had escaped towards the southern area and the Middle Euphrates Valley (MERV). As a consequence, the garrison was left in the residential area and was therefore submerged by the wave of the Arab-Kurdish forces. The battle in the area however is not over. The jihadists, in fact, are moving towards the village of Nasser, the Tel Safuya hill and the outpost of Tal Safoq, at the border. As soon as they will be free, they will fall back towards the southern area of the province.

The Round Up Operation, while advancing in the Middle Euphrates Valley (MERV), is keeping up the pressure on Daesh in the south. This is where the final battle against Isis will take place

Meanwhile, the SDF also launched a campaign of arrests of Isis terrorists on vaste scale in the area of Suwar. Their objective is to block the dormant cells of the Islamic State as well as the fugitives from south and east of Deir Ezzor. Moreover, the Syrian fighters together with Inherent Resolve are continuing to keep the pressure high on the pocket of resistance of Daesh in the south of the Syrian province. From Hajin to Harse, through Sousa. The quadrant in the past hours experienced many international air raids, while the Arab-Kurdish forces launched several attacks against the jihadist strongholds. The objective is to keep the pressure on the area at the highest levels, while waiting for the offensive in the MERV to end so that the troops can converge in the area.
