Inherent Resolve and SDF close ranks against ISIS and the Qaedist militias. Special forces operations in Hasaka and Deir Ezzor to dismantle the leadership of the Islamic State and Hurras al-Din

The special forces of Inherent Resolve (Special Operation Joint Task Force – Levant) tighten cooperation with the SDF between Hasaka and Deir Ezzor to counter the Islamic State and the Qaedist militias. In the past few hours there have been several operations in the Syrian region, which have targeted the two terrorist groups. The jihadists of Hurras al-Din (Guardians of Religion) have lost a commander and his aide, arrested in Hasaka. Objective of the maneuvers: to stop the escalation of attacks on soldiers and US interests in the quadrant. Three former ISIS members were captured in Deir Ezzor and one was killed. No details were provided on the operation. Consequently, it is assumed that there is some high-level element among them. Finally, a large weapons and ammunition depot belonging to IS was discovered and destroyed in the same area.
