Syria, HTS in Idlib celebrates the victory of the Taliban in Afghanistan

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Idlib celebrates the victory of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Clashes with the population, who are targeting convoys announcing the Islamic Emirate’s entry into Kabul

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) celebrated in Idlib the victory of the Taliban in Afghanistan. The militiamen took to the streets to announce that the Islamic Emirate had entered Kabul, firing shots in the air and spreading the news via car speakers. The incident caused fear and anger on the part of the population with some attempts to obstruct the convoys, resulted in armed clashes especially in the suburbs. The local inhabitants, even if marginally for now, are beginning to rebel against the Qaedist group, as they are no longer able to survive the increasingly frequent taxes imposed by the militiamen. Furthermore, they are fed up with the internal wars between pro-Turkey factions and between HTS and the Syrian army (SAA), supported by Russia, which are causing a trail of innocent deaths.
