Syria, Double Pressing For Daesh At Deir Ezzor: From SDF At Hajin And SAA At West

The SDF at Deir Ezzor launched a surprise offensive against Daesh at Hajin

The SDF at Deir Ezzor launched an offensive in mass against Daesh at Hajin. The Syrian forces of the Jazeera Storm (Cizire Storm) operation attacked by surprise the militiamen of the Islamic State in the suburbs of the city and at the moment violent clashes are going on. Meanwhile, the US-led Coalition carried out several air raids in the area to weaken Isis defenses and prevent possible ambushes from jihadists. In the area, nevertheless, a few hours ago a russian helicopter Ka-52 crashed, causing the death of the two pilots: Lieutenant Colonel Nikolay Gushchin and lieutenant Roman Miroshnichenko, members of the 18th Air Brigade based at Khabarovsk. The aircraft, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the Federation, was hit by a man-portable anti-aircraft short radius missile (MANPADS), launched by Islamic radicals. Namely by the IS.

Also the Syrian army (SAA) and the allies resume maneuvers against the Islamic State in the desert of Hamad (Badiya). Isis is caught in between two fires

The Syrian army (SAA) and the allied militias have also resumed the offensive against Daesh at Deir Ezzor, but west of the Euphrates in the Hamad (Badiya) desert. The soldiers together with the paramilitary forces, after having received, in the past days, reinforcements and supplies, got started again on the march to neutralize the Islamic State in the area. To the point that the Liwa Quds chased Isis out of Faydat Umm Muwaynah and is advancing towards the centre of the quadrant. The twofold operation, added to the fact that the ISF is watching over the borders between Syria and Iraq in order to prevent escape attempts of jihadists, is creating great problems to the latter. In the east and in the south they are pressed by the SDF of Jazeera Storm, so they cannot go towards the Middle Euphrates Valley (MERV). In the west, the SAA offensive risks to cut them out from the only way to abandon Abu Kamal (Al Bukamal), and the areas still under control in the province.
