Daesh at Deir Ezzor has suffered significant losses caused by a raid of the Coalition at Baghuz Fawqani. Meanwhile the SDF move towards Harse and the French artillery bombards in the east

The Daesh militiamen at Deir Ezzor have suffered substantial losses caused by an air raid of the Coalition against their headquarters at Baghuz Fawqani. The operation was carried out while the SDF of Jazeera Storm (operation Round Up) was approaching the area, but slowly. The quadrant of the Syrian province, was however hit by torrential rains, which have made it difficult to move. As a result of this, the jihadists of the Islamic State thought they were safe and exposed themselves, but they had not calculated the air fighters of Inherent Resolve. As a consequence, they realized they were attacked when it was too late. Meanwhile, the Arab-Kurdish forces close-in Isis also from the south, tightening the ranks to attack Harse. To take the city is strategic to aim at Baghuz Fawaqni and go up north towards Sha’fah. Moreover, the French artillery is targeting the posts of the fundamentalists in the east.

Isis continues to attack the NDF and the Syrian army (SAA) in the desert of Badiya. The last mass offensive of Isis was rejected at Humaymah

In parallel, Daesh continues to attack the NDF and the Syrian army (SAA) in the desert of Badiya. The militiamen of the Islamic State, a few hours ago, launched a violent offensive at Humaymah, but were rejected and had losses. Isis continues to push in the area, where it has gathered most of its soldiers, amongst which are also those escaped from Yarmouk, with the agreement of Damascus. The objective is to use the area to reorganize or try to escape in the only possible direction: to the south west, towards the borders with Iraq and Jordan. In this connection, the jihadists are periodically attacking the SAA in the area of Deir Ezzor and north of Abu Kamal (Al Bukamal) to attempt to create a safe corridor towards the west. Till now, however, all the attempts of the fundamentalists have been in vain, because the defenses of the soldiers have resisted even though at a high cost in terms of human lives.
