The Islamic State in Iraq loses another of its ma. He is Ayman Latif Al-Marawi, alias Abu Jandal, captured by the ISF special forces in the Salah al-Din governorate. The pro-ISIS commander had been sent to the area by the group’s leadership to plan and conduct terrorist attacks. According to local sources, he was a high-profile figure in Anbar’s “Wilayat”, where he was one of the military leaders. His arrest reduces the operational capabilities of IS in the Middle Eastern country and in particular in the two neighboring provinces. Moreover, during the raid, the ISF found some documents and electronic devices judged to be of great interest, which were sent to the experts for their analysis and which could give valuable information in the fight against fundamentalists.
