ISF arrest one of the top commanders of the Islamic State in Iraq Strict reserve on name and role. An operation aimed at the heart of pro-ISIS jihadists in the country is underway, with the support of Inherent Resolve

Iraqi security forces (ISF) arrested one of the top commanders of the Islamic State in the Middle Eastern country. This was announced by the spokesman of the ISF, General Yehia Rasool. However, the utmost confidentiality is maintained regarding his name and the role held within the group. Rasool, in fact, has limited himself to saying that he will be made known at the appropriate time. The senior official has hinted that a very delicate operation is underway against pro-ISIS jihadists. According to international sources, the maneuvers would target the heart of the formation in Iraq and would be in an advanced but very delicate stage. Hence the choice not to provide details that could frustrate the efforts. It is certain, however, that Inherent Resolve has provided the troops of Baghdad with collaboration in the analysis of the information collected, in planning the operation and supporting it.
