Increasing pressing on ISIS in Iraq and Syria. SDF raids in different areas of Hasakah and Deir Ezzor in search of cells and secret depots of the Islamic State
Isis is under heavy pressure in eastern Syria and Iraq. In Deir Ezzor and Hasakah, the SDF are carrying out a series of blitzes aimed at neutralizing the Islamic State cells and their secret reserves. In the first province there were raids against Daesh, looking for commanders and facilitators, which led to the arrest of numerous militants and the death of others. In the second, Jazeera Storm’s forces seized a large weapons and ammunition depot, arresting other jihadists. The maneuvers, however, are not over. For security and opportunity reasons no details were provided, but it was confirmed that they will continue in different locations at the same time. This in order not to give terrorists the chance to escape or move their resources to safer areas.
ISF hunts Daesh in Nineveh and Diyala. Furthermore, in both countries, the International Coalition provides air support and bombs jihadist positions
In Iraq, the ISF, during the new anti-ISIS operation in Nineveh and Diyala, arrested five militiamen and a Daesh leader in Mosul. Furthermore, they destroyed twelve hideouts for jihadists in the south and west of the former Islamic State capital in the Middle Eastern country. In the other province some of the group’s command centers have been neutralized and weapons, ammunition and explosives warehouses have been destroyed. The Global Coalition also participates in the maneuvers in Iraq and Syria, continuing to provide air support to the SDF and the ISF on the ground, with numerous bombings. From 2 to 31 July, Inherent Resolve’s assets carried out 34 strikes against IS targets in the two nations. Furthermore, the Coalition has detected eight attacks by third parties, which have crossed the Euphrates Valley.
