Cybercrime, USPS bait for a delivery theme phishing campaign

Technical analysis by the Malware Hunter JAMESWT

USPS bait for a delivery theme phishing campaign. Users are required to compile a form with their PIIs and credit cards details to pay a fake contribution. It’s a scam to steal data and money

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is the last bait in a global phishing campaign on the delivery theme. The victims receive an email in which is asked to pay 1.99$ and click a link to receive a package.

They are directed to a fake USPS landing page, in which have to compile the form with their personal info.

Then, they required to digit their credit/debit card details (numbers, date of expiry and and the security code).

Finally, they must compose the OTP code, that should have received by SMS, but every combination will be wrong and there is no message.

It’s a scam! The cybercrime actors behind the scheme use it to steal the victim’s PIIs and credit cards info.
