A fake version of Cyberpunk 2077 mobile is in circulation, armed with CRYPTO. The app with the ransomare simulates the video game and is downloaded from a false Google Play Store

Cybercrime actors are spreading a mobile version of the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, just released and already very popular, armed with malware. Cybersecurity researcher Sh33tos discovered it. The Android App, in fact, hides the CRYPTO ransomware (CoderWare/BlackKingdom family) and can be downloaded from a fake site that imitates that of the Google Play Store. Moreover, the ransom requested is high and cyber criminals play on the time factor to increase the pressure of the victims. As reported by Tatyana Shishkova, these, in fact, are required to pay 500 dollars in Bitcoin within 10 hours. Otherwise, the encrypted files will be permanently deleted.
