The Ticketfly Behaviour Is A Model For Companies That Suffered Cyber-attacks

The behaviour of the event ticketing company Ticketfly after it suffered cyber attacks has become a model for what organizations should do after incidents

The behaviour of the event ticketing company Ticketfly after it suffered some cyber-attacks is exemplar and a model to follow. The company took all operations offline pending investigation into a website defacement attack and reported data breach. Ticketfly confirmed the data, which had been uploaded to a public server, as legitimate, as the Digital Shadow Analyst Team reported. The threat actor claiming responsibility has previously been associated with a hacktivist group known for conducting ideologically motivated defacement attacks. However, the attack on Ticketfly appears to be financially motivated since the attacker reportedly demanded payment from the company in return for disclosure of details regarding the exploitable vulnerability. So nothing to do with cyber activism (hactivism), but probably more with the cybercrime.
