The Netherlands Police chases cybercrime actors on hacker forums

The Netherland Police chases cybercrime actors on hacker forums: “We aim at botnets and related malware like Ryuk, Trickbot and many more. Everyone makes mistakes, we are waiting for yours”

The Netherlands Police warns cybercrime actors with posts on Russian and English-speaking hacker forums. The message is simple, but really effective: “don’t commit cybercrime, as the law enforcements are watching your activity”. The Dutch cyber police, that took part in Operation LadyBird to dismantle the Emotet botnet, explains that it “will continue to focus on the abuse of our infrastructure. We aim at botnets and related malware like Ryuk, Trickbot and many more. We feed on underground information sources and the cybersecurity industry. We will live no stone unturned in finding those committed to cybercrime”. Furthermore, “you might lose your liberty, not just your bots and business. As you know, The Netherlands Police is always the first to see the next season catalogues – the law enforcement threats -. Everyone makes mistakes, we are waiting for yours”.
