The U.S. Department of State (DoS) has been hit by a cyber attack a couple of weeks ago. It has been revealed Fox News journalist, Jacqui Heinrich, who added that a possible serious breach were made by the Department of Defense Cyber Command. The incident was also confirmed by Reuters, but it seems that the attack did not impact the DoS operations. Especially the ones linked to civilian evacuations from Afghanistan. “The Department takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard its information and continuously takes steps to ensure information is protected. For security reasons, we are not in a position to discuss the nature or scope of any alleged cybersecurity incidents at this time”, a State Department spokesperson said in a statement.
