Cybercrime, Egregor ransomware gang hit by a France-Ukrainian op.

Egregor ransomware gang hit by a France-Ukrainian operation. I’s the third international cybersecurity offensive in few days three: the first disrupted Emotet and the second NetWalker. Small and medium groups start closing their ops, fearing to be targeted by law enforcements

Egregor ransomware gang has been hit by a joint French-Ukrainian operation. It has been reported by France Inter. Several members of the malware group has been captured in the past hours. The suspects are believed to be the affiliates tasked with hacking into corporate networks, or providing logistical and financial support. It’s the third cybercrime group hit by international operations in few days. The first one was the Emotet botnet and the other the NetWalker infrastructure. The new “active cybersecurity” global posture has also got another result: the small and medium groups are closing their operations, fearing to be targeted by law enforcements. The last ones are Fonix and Ziggy, but probably others will follow.
