A fake server error, that blocks some incoming email messages, is the last bait of a cybercrime phishing campaign.

The link to “fix autentication error” directs the users to a webmail login page that imitates the legit one and in which the email address is already present.

The potential victim must only digit the password to “solve the problem”. However, every combination will lead an “invalid username/password” error, Meanwhile, the threat actors behind the scam will have stolen the sensitive info that will be used to access the victim’s mailbox.
